Yorkshire business consultancy opens New York office as headcount doubles

Wetherby-based Smarter Business Processes has opened its first overseas office in New York. Taking space within the One World Trade Center, the expansion marks a natural progression in the company’s international growth.

As a result of increased demand for the firm’s services, the team has doubled in size – from seven employees to 14 – in the past year. Five of whom are based in North America, home to 60% of the organisation’s current client base.

Established by husband and wife team Richard and Gwen Rymill in March 2013, Smarter Business Processes are internationally-recommended Smartsheet and AppSheet consultants, trainers and resellers. In the past two years alone, they have helped over 800 businesses to streamline their workflow.

In response to user demand, the company has also launched its own range of Smarter App solutions. Following the success of their Smarter Dropdown List Manager solution, the company's latest – and most requested App is the new, Smarter Mini Control Center.

Gwen Rymill, co-founder and communications director of Smarter Business Processes said: “We are delighted to have opened our second office, right in the heart of Manhattan. Given our ever-increasing US client-base, the New York bureau has been a natural growth progression and will allow us to better serve our American customers. We would like to say a big thank you to the Department for Trade (DIT) for their invaluable guidance support in speeding us through our export journey.”

Adding further rationale behind the new office opening, Smarter Business Processes’ co-founder and lead consultant Richard Rymill explained: “Clients are demanding greater process automation that saves time, reduces risk and implements efficiency. With ever-present mobile use in all organisations, we are seeing a huge demand for intuitive, user-friendly workflows and solutions that offer interoperability between Apps.

“This is a time of great change in the world and workplace, therefore it is important for organisations to embrace change in order to gain competitive advantage, and to generate a culture of continuous innovation within their own workforces.”

As globally-recommended Smartsheet consultants, Smarter Business Processes provide Smartsheet optimisation, consultancy, training and support to clients in the UK, Europe and the USA.

The business process consultancy’s client base includes, World Vision UK, FitFlop Shoes, lululemon, Primark, Top Rank Las Vegas, The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF), RAC California, MGC Roofing Florida, Forward Design and Build Michigan, Sonora West Arizona, BD Brown Hawaii, and Joseph and Berry Dallas, to name just a few.
